bi[e]laterale is an association based in Biel/Bienne dedicated to promoting contemporary writing in Italian in Switzerland. The initiative is developed in collaboration with the Swiss Literary Institute (Institut littéraire suisse) and is rooted in the multilingual context of the city, a meeting point of different cultures and linguistic traditions
Through its writing residency and related public activities, bi[e]laterale creates opportunities for encounters between authors, students, cultural institutions and the public, helping to strengthen the presence of Italian within the contemporary Swiss literary landscape
